This post covers Oracle Cloud Certification (1Z0-160) related to Oracle Database Cloud Service (one of the hot topic in Cloud market currently) and important for
1. Database Administrators (DBAs) who are already OCA/OCP certified (and wish to upgrade their OCA/OCP in Oracle Cloud)
or
2. Anyone who is just starting or wish to become Oracle DBA
Note: If you are an Oracle DBA and wish to know task performed by Cloud DBA then check my Video Here
Oracle Certification Levels (OCA|OCP|OCM)
If you are new to Oracle Certification then its good to know that there are three certification levels in DBA ie
1. Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
2. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
3. Oracle Certified Masters (OCM)
Note: These certifications are also specific to version of Databases so like Database 12c or 11g
How To Become Oracle Database Cloud Certified ?
To become Oracle Database Cloud certified, you would need to pass the Oracle Database Cloud Service 1Z0-160. This tests your Oracle Database Cloud Service skills, demonstrating your ability to administer your database in the Cloud. The resulting certification depends on your background.
A. Oracle Database Cloud Service Operations Certified Associate: You get this certification, if you have No prior Oracle Database certification (like OCA, OCP or OCM).
B. Oracle Database Cloud Administrator Certified Associate: You get this certification, If you have prior Oracle Database 11g or 12c Administration Certified Associate (OCA).
C. Oracle Database Cloud Administrator Certified Professional: You get this certification, if you have prior Oracle Database 11g or 12c Administration Certified Professional (OCP)
Note: If you are not an Oracle DBA and wish to become Cloud DBA or become Cloud Certified then Oracle Database Cloud Service Operations Certified Associate is good start by clearing 1Z0-160
What Exam Topics/Documentation to Study?
If you plan to take the exam, you need to be well versed with the below topics like how to sign in to an Oracle Public Cloud with a user subscription, execute a database deployment and learn how to create, delete, stop, restart, and then move to advanced topics like patching, configuring network access rules from tools and other database deployments, managing database deployment, security at the compute node and the database levels.
You also need to develop the knowledge and skills to add storage for the database deployment, create storage containers for backups stored in Oracle Storage Cloud Service containers, and perform on-demand backups & recovery.
Finally, develop a deeper understanding of the benefits of migrating an on-premises database to Oracle Database Cloud Service. Understand and validate the different migration methods, including RMAN, Data Pump, unplug/plug, remote cloning, and SQL Developer and know when to use them.

1z0-160 Questions Answers Exam Dumps
One of the most common question (almost 3-4 every day) I get in my Oracle Cloud DBA: Build, Manage & Migrate (Lift & Shift) Database in Cloud Training is that do we provide Certification Exam Dumps.
I can understand that Certification Dumps can help you to see what to expect in Exam but I highly encourage you to understand concepts and focus on learning. In our training for each module, we cover set of questions to test knowledge on that specific module. Over next few months on this blog, I’ll cover some of the questions from our Training to show you what to expect in the Exam.

Does your self paced course on DBAAS cover all the modules from an exam perspective.
@Manjunath, Currently Self Study course covers all exam topics till Manage (We are yet to add List & Shift that will come by 24th/25th Dec – but then price will also increase by 100 USD atleast ) We are yet to add Q/A in form of Quiz and team is working on them http://k21academy.com/build-manage-database-cloud-self-paced/ If you are register before price increase you will get all this in same price and any new things will be added to all those who bought this course in past.
For Live Interactive Session that already covers all this + exam questions 1Z0-160 check http://k21academy.com/cloud03
Do you provide a cloud simulated interface practice environment? Or do students register for the limited $300 access via Oracle?
I need to learn this to compliment my OCP but lack dedicated time for using the interface.
Thanks,
@ A Kettelhut For OCP Certification We have Module wise training as per course curriculum followed by Quizes/Questions that are on the lines of 1Z0-160 . We have our own paid Cloud Account but we need to check with Oracle Sales Team if we are allowed to create sub account or account for our clients. 300$ FREE credit is good option and when you run out of time or money then you can ask your friend or colleague to create a new account (tip to go longer in 300 USD is to shutdown databases after use)
