This post covers How Composite Lazy Loading Helps and How can we configure Composite Lazy Loading at two different levels.
In this blog post, we will cover Composite Lazy Loading. It is one of the new features in SOA Suite 12c which allows the components, WSDLs, and XSDs for a composite to be loaded as needed instead of loading them at server startup.
How Composite Lazy Loading helps:
This new feature helps in substantially reducing the startup time of the SOA servers specifically in scenarios when a large number of composites are deployed to SOA Servers.
We can configure Composite Lazy Loading at two levels :
a) Domain-Level:
Below are the steps to set the lazy loading at the Domain Level:
Step 1: Launch the em console using the URL. http://{hostname}:{portno}/em
Step 2: Go the Weblogic Domain drop-down list and select the System MBean Browser.
Step 3: In the System MBean Browser, go to the following path:
Application Defined MBeans –> oracle.as.soainfra.config –> Server: ServerName -> SoaInfraConfig –>soa-infra
Step 4: You can change the value to true to turn on the composite lazy loading feature as shown below and click on the Apply button.
b) Component Level
Below are the steps to set the lazy loading at the Component Level:
- Go to the composite.xml file of the SOA project where you want to turn on/off this feature.
- Add the new property lazyLoading=”false” as shown in the below screenshot:
Note: The property value set at the composite level has high precedence over the one which is set at the Domain level.
So, this is all about How Composite Lazy Loading helps.
