This post covers Sneak Peak of Step by Step Hands-On Guides from our Oracle Access Manager Training where you get to learn things like Architecture, Installation & Configuration of OAM/OID/OHS/WebGate, OAM-OID Integration, OAM Integration with Oracle Fusion Middleware products like OBIEE, Webgates Agents, High Availablity Disaster Recovery and much more.
With our OAM Training, you get Identity Management component OID Training FREE.
Here’s the Quick Sneak Peek of What You will do on your Dedicated Machine for Oracle Access Manager:
1. Lab Activity Guide I: OID Install, Configure & Manage
We start with Oracle Identity Management component i.e. Oracle Internet Directory (OID) in OAM Hands-On Training as this is where users are stored for OAM. In this lab activity guide, we learn how to Install, Configure, Start/Stop OID, and how to Create a User/Group in OID. We how to install Oracle WebLogic Server, how to install & configure IDM for OID server and how to verify WebLogic console and ODSM console.
In this lab activity guide, we learn how to Install, Configure, Start/Stop OID, and how to Create a User/Group in OID. We how to install Oracle WebLogic Server, how to install & configure IDM for OID server and how to verify WebLogic console and ODSM console.
We also cover how to install Oracle WebLogic Server, as we run ODSM console (GUI to manage OID).
Note: Later in subsequent Activity Guide of this OAM Training, We integrate OID with OAM as Identity & System Store.
2. Lab Activity Guide II: OAM Install & Configure
We then learn how to install Oracle IDAM Software, SOA Software (only if you want OIM too), how to create OAM/IDM database Schema using RCU, How to configure WebLogic domain for OIM/OAM, configure security store to database, How to start Admin and OAM Managed Servers.
This is where you will get your OAM Console (GUI to manage OAM) and OAM ATN & ATZ server that does Single Sign-On (SSO)
3. Lab Activity Guide III: OAM Start/Stop
We then learn Start/Stop Database, OID, Admin & Managed Server for OAM. We also look at configuring boot.properties in WebLogic so servers can be started in the background.
4. Lab Activity Guide IV: OAM Consoles: WebLogic, EM, OAMConsole
We then learn about the 3 consoles in OAM i.e. Weblogic Console(/console), Enterprise Manager Console(/em), OAM Console (/oamconsole) in Oracle Access Manager.
We also go in detail about OAM Console covering key functions that you will use in Day-to-Day operations like Creating ATN & ATZ Properties, Application Domain, Timeouts, WebGates etc
5. Lab Activity Guide V: OHS Install & Configure
Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is used as proxy server deployed in front of application that you try to protect using OAM. You then deploy WebGate on top of OHS acting as Policy Enforcement Point (PEP)
In this Activity Guide in OAM Training, We learn how to install & configure OHS, how to create environment file for OHS and how to start and stop OHS services.
6. Lab Activity Guide VI: Install & Configure WebGate
We then learn how to install WebGate (acting as PEP) on top of WebServer (OHS), Provision WebGate Instance in OAM Server, configure WebGate with OHS and learn how to test WebGate configuration.
7. Lab Activity Guide VII: OAM – OID Integration
OID is used as Identity Store (other common stores are OUD or AD) where userID/password details are stored. In this Activity Guide of OAM – OID Training, We learn how to add Identity Store in OAM.
We will cover how to integrate OID with OAM, Use OID as System & Identity Store and how to troubleshoot common issues in OAM-OID/OUD integration and where to look for logs.
8. Lab Activity Guide VII: OAM HA Setup
We then learn how to install OAM in Active-Active Cluster including changes required at the WebGate side to point to two or more OAM Nodes.
This guide will have refernce to Oracle’s Enterprise Deployment Guide explaining pack/unpack and WebGate Side changes..
9. Lab Activity Guide IX: Fusion Middleware (OBIEE) Install & Configure
We cover integration of Oracle Fusion Middleware with OAM for Single Sign-On(SSO). We pick Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE – one of the most complex product on FMW) for OAM Integration. learn then how to create OBIEE SCHEMA using RCU, how to install OBIEE 11.1.1.9. We will also learn how to start/stop OBIEE Admin and Managed Server, how to verify console and EM and finally how to deploy RPD catalog files.
You as part of this best Oracle Identity Management Training, get an option to install OBIEE for OAM integration (or ask one of our team to install OBIEE for you) .
Learn how to create OBIEE SCHEMA using RCU, how to install OBIEE 11.1.1.9. We will also learn how to start/stop OBIEE Admin and Managed Server, how to verify console and EM.
10. Lab Activity Guide X: Integrate Fusion Middleware (OBIEE) with OAM/OID for SSO
This is where the real fun is, where you learn how to integrate FMW with OAM/OID for Single Sign-On. You configure LDAP Authentication Providers in WebLogic/OBIEE and integrate with OID. You also configure OHS in front of OBIEE (mod_wl_ohs). We install web server OHS for OBIEEE, how to configure OHS with OBIEEE, how to integrate OBIEE with LDAP. We will also get to know about the configuration of OAM Identity Asserter, how to enable OAM/SSO with OBIEEE and test OBIEE with OAM/SSO.
We will also get to know about the configuration of OAM Identity Asserter, how to enable OAM/SSO with OBIEEE and test OBIEE with OAM/SSO.
11. Lab Activity Guide XI: Cloning OAM
Creating a replica of production Identity Management System till recently is considered to take months. In this activity guide, We learn how the clone is done for OAM and OID using T2P (Test 2 Prod Clone Methodology). You’ll also get to know about Cloning Middleware & Oracle Home for OAM & OID (Binary Files) as well as about Moving The Configuration Of Java Components & System Components for (OAM Domain) and (OID Instance).
Bonus 1. Bonus Activity Guide: Linux Basic Commands
If you are not from Linux background (as most of the attendees and our hands-on guides are on Linux) We help our trainees with Basic Linux Commands covering vi, ls, cp, mkdir, chown etc.
Bonus 2. Lab Activity Guide OID CLI – List, Create, Modify, Delete
If you need to load users in bulk in Oracle Internet Directory (OID) or need command line utility like How to search Users in OID using LDAP Search, How to Add Users in OID in bulk from the command line, How to delete Users in OID and How to change the password of Users in OID then you will find this Bonus Guide very useful.
