Database Services
It allows quick access to information. A collection of individual data items stored in a highly structured manner is called a Database. It provides the ability to store a large amount of information. It ensures the security of data. The database is classified as Relational and Non-Relational Database.

Amazon RDS
Amazon RDS is a relational database management service that manages a relational database for users. It is mainly used to manage data of E-Commerce, Gaming, Apps, Websites and many more. The role of RDS is to look after software patching, updates, backups, recovery and automatic failure detection. You can either create a backup via Snapshot or can have an automated backup performed.

Q3. What is RDS Read Replica?
Ans. Read replica database is the copy of the master database, reflecting changes done to the master database system. It reduces the load on DB Instance. By taking the Snapshot of Source DB Instance, Amazon RDS creates Read-Only Instance from the snapshots. The Read Replica allows only read connections.

Amazon Aurora
Amazon Aurora is the managed relational database solution of AWS. It is a MySQL and PostgreSQL-compatible relational database engine that improves the speed and high availability of databases. Recently, AWS also launched the Serverless and multi-master versions of Aurora, and any of these features can alone be the reason to choose it.

Amazon DynamoDB
DynamoDB is a fully managed NoSQL database service offered by AWS. Operations like create, insert, update, query, scan and delete are performed in a table via the appropriate API. The record in every row is known as Item. Here you can set TTL (Time to live) to delete items automatically in the table once they expire.

Amazon ElastiCache
ElastiCache is AWS in-memory database solution that makes it easy to deploy, operate, and scale an in-memory cache in the cloud. It provides faster retrieval of information from fast, managed, in-memory caches instead of relying entirely on slower disk-based databases, thereby improving the performance of web applications.

Amazon Redshift

It also manages all administrative tasks, including provisioning capacity, monitoring and backing up the cluster, and applying patches and upgrades to the Amazon Redshift engine.
