Hi,
Thanks for your useful video.
I’ve installed EBS 12.2.0 on single powerful server. However, it took about more than 7 hours. Resource was used very little during installation. I don’t know why.
Please help me to clarify and show me how to boost installation faster.
Thanks,
Tri Tuc
Rahul Dangayach says
Hi Tri Tuc,
When you say this is the big server, this depends now on what is the CPU and Memory allocated to the server plus the disk IOS could also be impacted.
As we do have some servers with high-performance CPU, RAM, and SSD disks, on which we have done the installation and it takes a couple of hrs to complete the installation
Have a look at your server size again carefully what oracle recommends and it should be faster than.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards

Thanks for the video and explanations.
I have core i7, 2.80GHz, 8 GB RAM, 64-bit OS, and 108 storage capacity left in the SSD.
Can I install EBS in this system?
Rahul Dangayach says
Hi Iheanyi,
The system specifications you provided meet the minimum requirements for installing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). However, there are other factors that can affect the installation process, such as the operating system version, available network bandwidth, and the installation method you choose.
Before installing EBS, you should review the installation guide for your desired version and carefully follow the system requirements checklist. Additionally, make sure that you have sufficient disk space and consider allocating more memory to the virtual machine or database server if needed.
It’s also important to note that EBS is a complex enterprise software system and requires careful planning, configuration, and maintenance to ensure proper functionality. You may need the assistance of an experienced Oracle consultant or IT professional to help you with the installation and ongoing management of the system.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards
